DIESEL THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR HOSE

      Loosen the 2 hose clamps.

    2. Remove the No. 3 air hose from the No. 2 air tube and diesel throttle body assembly.

  7. REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the diesel throttle body assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the diesel throttle body assembly.

    3. Disconnect the diesel throttle body assembly connector.

      Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts, diesel throttle body assembly and gasket.
