REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
1. Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal LH from the manual transmission case.

  Do not damage the manual transmission case.
REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH
1. Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal RH from the front transaxle case.

  Do not damage the front transaxle case.
INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
1. *a Depth
  
  Coat the lip of a new front drive shaft oil seal LH with MP grease.
2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front drive shaft oil seal LH to the manual transmission case.

  Standard Depth
  
  10.6 to 11.6 mm (0.417 to 0.457 in.)
  Note
  - Be sure to install the front drive shaft oil seal LH in the correct direction.
  - Make sure to install the front drive shaft oil seal LH as specified, otherwise malfunctions such as a fluid leak will occur.
  - Do not damage the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal LH.
INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH
1. *a Depth
  
  Coat the lip of a new front drive shaft oil seal RH with MP grease.
2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front drive shaft oil seal RH to the front transaxle case.

  1.2 to 2.2 mm (0.0472 to 0.0866 in.)
  Note
  - Be sure to install the front drive shaft oil seal RH in the correct direction.

  - Do not damage the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal RH.
