DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) detects that the roof sunshade switch (map light assembly) is stuck for 30 seconds or more.

Note

When the roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, it requires initialization.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the a1 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the O8 roof sunshade switch (map light assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a1-7 (OPEN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a1-5 (CLOSE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT ROOF SUNSHADE SWITCH (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

      Remove the roof sunshade switch (map light assembly).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
