SEAT HEATER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (FOR LH)

    1. A00YMYZC01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Seat Heater Switch (for LH))

Check the seat heater switch (for LH).

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2 - 1 HI switch on Below 1 Ω
2 - 1 HI switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        2 - 3 LO switch on Below 1 Ω
2 - 3 LO switch off 10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for LH) and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
Auxiliary Battery Connection Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 6

        HI switch on

        Comes on

        (Yellow)

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 6

        LO switch on

        Comes on

        (Yellow)

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 5

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4

        Always

        Comes on

        (Clear blue)

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

  2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (FOR RH)

    1. A00YMQPC01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Seat Heater Switch (for RH))

Check the seat heater switch (for RH).

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 2 HI switch on Below 1 Ω
3 - 2 HI switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        3 - 4 LO switch on Below 1 Ω
3 - 4 LO switch off 10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for RH) and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
Auxiliary Battery Connection Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 10

        HI switch on

        Comes on

        (Yellow)

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 10

        LO switch on

        Comes on

        (Yellow)

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 8

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 6

        Always

        Comes on

        (Clear blue)

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).
