FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect each connector and engage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    7. A00YOL0N01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

  2. INSPECT SEAT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK


    1. During the sliding operation of the front seat assembly, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously. If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the front seat assembly installation bolts to adjust the adjuster position.

  3. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    2. Engage the claw and guide to install the outer seat track cover.

  4. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Engage the claw and guide to install the inner seat track bracket cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover.

  6. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front inner seat track bracket cover.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  9. INSTALL BATTERY BOX COVER

  10. CHECK SEAT HEATER (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. When the seat heater switch is turned on, check that the indicator light illuminates, and that the seat surface warms up in approximately 5 minutes.

  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
