PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM Heater Relay Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The pre-crash safety city sensor controls the TSS C HTR relay to turn the pre-crash safety city heater on and off.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

      Disconnect the O10 pre-crash safety city heater wire connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O10-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V

  2. INSPECT PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER WIRE


    1. Connect the O10 pre-crash safety city heater wire connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT TSS C HTR RELAY


    1. Remove the TSS C HTR relay.

    2. Inspect the TSS C HTR relay.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER WIRE - TSS C HTR RELAY AND PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY SENSOR)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Disconnect the O10 pre-crash safety city heater wire connector.

    3. Disconnect the O9 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    4. Remove the TSS C HTR relay.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O10-2 (GND) - TSS C HTR relay holder terminal 3 Always Below 1 Ω
      O10-2 (GND) - O9-1 (SPR) Always Below 1 Ω
      O9-1 (SPR) - TSS C HTR relay holder terminal 3 Always Below 1 Ω
      O10-2 (GND), O9-1 (SPR) or TSS C HTR relay holder terminal 3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Remove the TSS C HTR relay.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
