PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

CHECK PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

1. Check pre-crash system cancel switch assembly (warning timing adjustment)

   1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   2. Operate the pre-crash system cancel switch to change the warning timing of the pre-crash safety system between 3 levels and check that the warning timing adjustment display on the multi-information display changes between "Far", "Medium" and "Near".

      Tech Tips

      
      

      • The warning timing setting is displayed for 6 seconds on the multi-information display.

      • "Medium" is the default setting.

2. 

   *a	PCS OFF Warning Light

   Check pre-crash system cancel switch assembly (system on/off)

   
   

   1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   2. Press and hold the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly for 3 seconds or more and check that the PCS OFF warning light in the combination meter assembly illuminates and "Pre-Crash Safety OFF." is displayed in the multi-information display.

      Tech Tips

      If the power switch is turned off with the pre-crash safety system off, the system will turn on when the power switch is turned on (IG) again.
