LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the rear door courtesy light switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

      RR Door Courtesy SW Rear door courtesy light switch assembly (RH) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Rear door RH open

      OFF: Rear door RH closed

      ON: Rear door LH open

      OFF: Rear door LH closed

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH/RH)


    1. Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the E22 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L2-1 - E22-24 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      L2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (RH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the E22 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L27-1 - E22-6 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      L27-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
