LIGHTING SYSTEM Power Switch Illumination Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the power switch illumination.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

   5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      
      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Active Test

      Power switch illumination comes on.

2. INSPECT POWER SWITCH

   
   

   1. Remove the power switch.

      Click here

   2. Inspect the power switch.

      Click here

      OK
      Power switch illumination is normal.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE POWER SWITCH Click here

   OK

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the E116 and E117 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connectors.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E36-9 (SWIL) - E116- 6 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω E36-6 (AGND) - E117-6 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω E36-9 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E36-6 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG
