LIGHTING SYSTEM Interior Light Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls operation of the DOME CUT relay in order to supply power to the interior lights.

  1. INSPECT DOME CUT RELAY


    1. Remove the DOME CUT relay from the No. 4 relay block.

    2. Inspect the DOME CUT relay.

      DOME CUT relay is normal.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - DOME CUT RELAY)


    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      No. 4 relay block DOME CUT relay holder terminal 2 - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      No. 4 relay block DOME CUT relay holder terminal 5 - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOME CUT RELAY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      No. 4 relay block DOME CUT relay holder terminal 3 - 3C-21 Always Below 1 Ω
      3C-21 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOME CUT RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the E22 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      No. 4 relay block DOME CUT relay holder terminal 1 - E22-15 (DOMR) Always Below 1 Ω
      E22-15 (DOMR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
