Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PRECAUTION (w/ Power Window)
Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE BATTERY BOX COVER (w/ Power Window)
for Hatchback:
for Wagon:
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (w/ Power Window)
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE REAR ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
REMOVE REAR ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window)
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
DISCONNECT REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
DISCONNECT REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR WINDOW GUIDE WITH REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
Move the rear door lock assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.
When reusing the rear door lock assembly:
Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly.
