  • If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) or power management control ECU is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. Recheck for DTCs.

      When DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the E116 and E117 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E116-5 (+B) - E117-1 (E) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E117-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the E112 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E116-12 (LIN) - E112-11 (LIN2) Always Below 1 Ω
      E116-12 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E112-11 (LIN2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU


    1. Replace the power management control ECU.
