AUXILIARY BATTERY(for Hatchback) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY

   
   

   1. Install the auxiliary battery.

   2. Install the auxiliary battery clamp with the nut.

      Torque:

      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

   3. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and install the nut.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

   4. Install the auxiliary battery terminal cap.

   5. Connect the auxiliary battery hose.

      Tech Tips

      Push in the auxiliary battery hose to the auxiliary battery until a click sound is heard.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   
   

   1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and install the nut.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
