DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is a short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

  • If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the power switch on (IG) and the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR SONARS))


    1. Disconnect the E98 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R8 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner LH) connector.

    3. Disconnect the R7 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear center LH) connector.

    4. Disconnect the R6 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear center RH) connector.

    5. Disconnect the R5 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH) connector.

    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E98-4 (BOR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
