NAVIGATION SYSTEM Navigation Voice Circuit between Radio Receiver and Extension Module

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is used when the voice guidance in the navigation system is on or the voice switch of the steering pad switch assembly is pushed.

Using this circuit, the navigation ECU sends signals to the stereo component amplifier assembly via the radio and display receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION ECU)


    1. Disconnect the V2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the V1 navigation ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V2-22 (VOI+) - V1-31 (VOI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      V2-23 (VOI-) - V1-30 (VOI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      V2-24 (VSHLD) - V1-29 (VSHLD) Always Below 1 Ω
      V2-22 (VOI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V2-23 (VOI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V2-24 (VSHLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
