DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU and the radio and display receiver assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the navigation ECU and the radio and display receiver assembly.

  • Navigation ECU is/was not connected while the power switch is/was on (ACC or IG).

  • Communication between the master unit and the navigation ECU is not possible when the hybrid control system is/was started.

  • AVC-LAN circuit between radio and display receiver assembly and navigation ECU

  • Navigation ECU

  • Radio and display receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Tech Tips


        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

      Note

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    1. Clear the DTCs.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the V1 navigation ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      V1-32 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION ECU)


    1. Disconnect the V3 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the V1 navigation ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V1-2 (TX+) - V3-9 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-3 (TX-) - V3-10 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-2 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V1-3 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU


    1. Replace the navigation ECU.

      Click here

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION ECU)


    1. Disconnect the V2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the V1 navigation ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V1-11 (ACC2) - V2-13 (ACC2) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-16 (+B2) - V2-1 (+B2) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-32 (GND2) - V2-14 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-11 (ACC2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V1-16 (+B2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
