DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives signals indicating the height of the vehicle from the rear height control sensor sub-assembly.

  • If the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

      DTC B241A is not output.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A93 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the M1 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A93-19 (SHRL) - M1-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-19 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
