AFS OFF SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT SWIVEL MAIN SWITCH (AFS OFF SWITCH)

      Component without harness connected

      (Headlight Swivel Main Switch (AFS OFF Switch))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 (MSW) - 1 (E) Headlight swivel main switch (AFS OFF switch) off 10 kΩ or higher
      Headlight swivel main switch (AFS OFF switch) on Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight swivel main switch (AFS OFF switch).

    2. Illumination Inspection


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight swivel main switch (AFS OFF switch) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight swivel main switch (AFS OFF switch).
