REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01KS9JC20
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light Assembly LH)

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The back-up light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or rear light socket and wire LH.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The taillight comes on

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The rear fog light comes on*

      • *: for LHD

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light lens and body LH or rear light socket and wire LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light Assembly RH)

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The back-up light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or rear light socket and wire RH.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The taillight comes on

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)

      		 The rear fog light comes on*

      • *: for RHD

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light lens and body RH or rear light socket and wire RH.
