DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when either of the following conditions is met:

  • Inner rear view mirror assembly (automatic high beam sensor)

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes
      Result
      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      Only DTC B2461 is output B
      DTC B2461 and B2451 are output C

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) - INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SENSOR))


    1. Disconnect the A93 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the O3 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A93-30 (LHT) - O3-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-30 (LHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the inner rear view mirror assembly with a new or known good one.
