DESCRIPTION

Each headlight leveling motor receives operation signals from the headlight swivel ECU assembly and sends signals indicating the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight leveling motor to the headlight swivel ECU assembly.

  • If the headlight swivel ECU assembly has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight swivel ECU assembly.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A93 headlight swivel ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A93-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      A93-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A93 headlight swivel ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A148 headlight assembly LH connector or A147 headlight assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      LH Side (DTC B2417)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A93-1 (SMBL) - A148-4 (LHB1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-27 (LL1-) - A148-2 (LH E) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-1 (SMBL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A93-27 (LL1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      RH Side (DTC B2418)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A93-2 (SMBR) - A147-4 (RHB1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-28 (LR1-) - A147-2 (RH E) Always Below 1 Ω
