DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the hazard warning signal switch assembly ON signal and controls the operation of the hazard warning lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

      ON: Hazard warning signal switch on

      OFF: Hazard warning signal switch off

    1. Remove the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        4 (TB) - 1 (E) Hazard warning signal switch on Below 1 Ω
        Hazard warning signal switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the E45 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E96-4 (TB) - E45-3 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      E96-4 (TB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E96-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E121-4 (TB) - E45-3 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      E121-4 (TB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
