REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH DOOR) (for Models with Jam Protection Function on 4 Windows)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for LH Door))

      Check the switch function.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (UP) - 1 (GND) Auto up or up position Below 1 Ω 7 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Auto down or down position Below 1 Ω 8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) Auto up or auto down position Below 1 Ω 6 (UP) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher 8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door).

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for LH Door))
      *b	LED

      Check that the LED illuminates.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear power window regulator switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (LED) Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (GND) LED illuminates

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door).

2. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH DOOR) (for Models with Jam Protection Function on Driver Door Window Only)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for LH Door))

      Check the switch function.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (D) - 2 (SD) UP Below 1 Ω 3 (B) - 4 (U) UP Below 1 Ω 1 (D) - 2 (SD) Off Below 1 Ω 4 (U) - 5 (SU) Off Below 1 Ω 4 (U) - 5 (SU) DOWN Below 1 Ω 1 (D) - 3 (B) DOWN Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door).

3. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RH DOOR) (for Models with Jam Protection Function on 4 Windows)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for RH Door))

      Check the switch function.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (UP) - 1 (GND) Auto up or up position Below 1 Ω 7 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Auto down or down position Below 1 Ω 8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) Auto up or auto down position Below 1 Ω 6 (UP) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher 8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door).

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for RH Door))
      *b	LED

      Check that the LED illuminates.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear power window regulator switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (LED) Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (GND) LED illuminates

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door).

4. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RH DOOR) (for Models with Jam Protection Function on Driver Door Window Only)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for RH Door))

      Check the switch function.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door).
