FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01SF6Z

      Install the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 4 clamps.

  2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A01SFSH

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front bumper energy absorber.

  5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A01SFJBC06
      *a Bolt
      *b Screw

      Engage the 3 claws.

    2. Install the front bumper side retainer LH with the bolt and screw.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      5.9 N*m  { 60 kgf*cm, 52 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.


    1. Clean the front bumper cover.


      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from a new front bumper pad.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the front bumper pad as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Install the front bumper pad along the line marked on the front bumper cover.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER MOULDING


    1. A01SFNS

      Engage the 8 claws to install the front bumper moulding to the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

    2. A01SFV9

      Engage the 13 claws.

    3. A01SFS5

      Install the lower No. 1 radiator grille with front bumper moulding with the 2 clips.

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH


    1. A01SFLSC01
      *a Hook

      Engage the hook.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the front bumper hole cover LH.

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER


    1. A01SFE3

      Engage the claw to install the front fender liner retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A01SFEZ

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING LH


    1. A01SFO1

      Engage the 5 claws.

    2. Install the upper radiator grille moulding LH with the screw.

  14. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM


    1. A01SFAJ

      Engage the 4 claws to install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  16. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A01SFJM

      Engage the 9 claws.

    2. Install the radiator grille with the 3 screws.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL


    1. Clean the inner radiator grille.


      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the inner radiator grille.

      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from a new No. 1 radiator grille seal.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      A01SF71 Double-sided Tape

      Engage the 5 clips and install the No. 1 radiator grille seal as shown in the illustration.

  18. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01SFA0

      Engage the 9 claws.

    2. Install the radiator grille sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  19. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. w/ Fog Light:


      1. Clean the front bumper cover.


        1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

        2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Remove the release paper from a new protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. A01SFT8

        Install the protector as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01SFB7

      Engage the 6 claws.

    3. Install the fog light mounting bracket LH to the fog light cover LH with the 3 screws.

    4. Engage the guide and 11 claws to install the fog light cover LH with fog light mounting bracket LH.

  20. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

      Install the lower radiator air deflector with the 2 clips.

  24. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

  25. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

  26. INSTALL NO. 5 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Engage the 9 clamps.

    2. Connect the 6 connectors to install the No. 5 engine room wire.

  27. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)


    1. A01SFBG

      Engage the 6 clamps to install the headlight cleaner hose.

  28. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT CLEANER CLAMP (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the No. 2 headlight cleaner clamp.
