EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/ Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

    Click here

  3. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A00YMQ3

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst).

  4. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and front center floor brace.

  5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) (w/ Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

    CAUTION:

    Perform this procedure when the coolant is not hot.

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 heater water hoses.

    2. A00YNKU

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    3. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    4. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.

  6. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)


    1. A00YP8O

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.
