PCV VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PCV VALVE (VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

   2. Using a 22 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

      Torque:

      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      • Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench.

      • Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.

   3. Install the ventilation hose to the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) and slide the 2 clips to secure it.
