EGR VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  2. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for LHD)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for RHD)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for RHD)

    Click here

  8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE EGR PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. A01KRA7

      Remove the bolt and wire harness support.

    3. A01KRM0

      Remove the 4 bolts and EGR pipe assembly.

    4. Remove the EGR pipe gasket and EGR inlet gasket.

  14. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KTVM

      Disconnect the connector and wire harness clamp.

    2. Slide the 4 clips and disconnect the 4 water hoses.

      *1 Stud Bolt and Nut

      Remove the 4 nuts and bolt.

    4. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 stud bolts and EGR valve with cooler assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.

    5. Remove the EGR cooler gasket.

      Remove the 2 nuts, EGR valve assembly and EGR valve gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.

  15. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.
