COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Combination Switch Assembly)

      Inspect EV drive mode switch

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 8 (S) - 3 (E) EV drive mode switch being pushed and held Below 50 Ω EV drive mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Combination Switch Assembly)

      Inspect ECO mode switch

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (ECU) - 3 (E) ECO mode switch being pushed and held Below 50 Ω ECO mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

   3. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Combination Switch Assembly)

      Inspect PWR mode switch

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (PWR) - 3 (E) PWR mode switch being pushed and held Below 50 Ω PWR mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

   4. Inspect illumination

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the combination switch assembly.

         

         *a

         Component without harness connected (Combination Switch Assembly)

         *b

         Illuminates

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+) Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 5 (ILL-) Illuminates

         If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.
