HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Power Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When selecting POWER mode, the switch operation signal is sent to the ECM. Following this, the drive torque is optimally controlled to obtain a sporty feel in response to the driver's accelerator pedal operation.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    4. Check for DTCs.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (INDICAT. LAMP ECT PWP)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test / Indicat. Lamp ECT PWR.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test
      Tester Display
      Indicat. Lamp ECT PWR
    4. Perform the "Indicat. Lamp ECT PWR" Active Test.

      OK
      The POWER mode indicator light comes on or blinks.
    5. Turn the power switch off.

  4. READ VALUE USING GTS (PATTERN SWITCH (PWR/M))


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Pattern Switch (PWR/M).


      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List
      Tester Display
      Pattern Switch (PWR/M)
    4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

    1. Remove the POWER mode switch (combination switch assembly).

    1. Disconnect the B178 ECM connector.

    2. Disconnect the E114 POWER mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Reconnect the E114 POWER mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

    5. Reconnect the B178 ECM connector.
