Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Perform the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration when replacing the ECM.
REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
SEPARATE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and separate the inverter reserve tank assembly.
REMOVE ECM
Remove the No. 1 relay block cover.
Separate the wire harness clamp.
Disengage the 2 claws, push up the engine room wire harness and separate it from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the 2 levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
Note
After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.
Remove the 2 bolts and ECM.
Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
