IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

  2. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 4 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note


      • When removing each ignition coil assembly, do not damage the plug cap on the engine head cover opening or the upper edge of the spark plug tube.

      • If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  3. REMOVE SPARK PLUG


    1. A00YO32

      Using a 14 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 4 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Note

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
