Note

When the brake pedal is first depressed after replacing the brake pads or pushing back the disc brake piston, DTC C1214 may be output. As there is no malfunction, clear the DTC.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL

  3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. LOOSEN NO. 2 WIRE ADJUSTING NUT

  6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR

  7. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

  8. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE REAR DISC

  10. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

  11. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts, rear disc brake dust cover sub-assembly and rear axle hub and bearing assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
