DESCRIPTION

The lane departure alert system and lane departure alert indicator light (green) in the combination meter assembly turn on or off when the lane departure alert switch is pressed.

  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-crash safety city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-crash safety city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

  1. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

    2. Inspect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the E6 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O9 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E6-12 (DIST) - O9-3 (LDSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      E6-12 (DIST) or O9-3 (LDSW) - Body ground Always 100 kΩ or higher
      E6-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM (LANE DEPARTURE ALERT INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Check that the lane departure alert indicator light illuminates on the combination meter assembly when the lane departure alert system is turned on using the lane departure alert main switch.
