FRONT STABILIZER BAR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING LH

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Stopper
      *2	Dust Lip
      	Front of the Vehicle
      	Inside of the Vehicle

      Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH to the outside of the stopper on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      
      

      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH so that the dust lip is facing outward.

      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH so that the cutout is facing the rear of the vehicle.

2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING RH

   Tech Tips

   Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

   
   

   1. Install the front stabilizer bar to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly so that the identification mark is positioned on the right side of the vehicle.

4. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE

   
   

   1. Type A:

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Protrusion

         Install the front suspension member front brace LH to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

         Torque:

         92 N*m  { 938 kgf*cm, 68 ft.*lbf }

         Note

         
         

         • Temporarily tighten the bolt (A), and then fully tighten the 4 bolts in the order of B, C, D and A.

         • After installing the front suspension member front brace LH, make sure that the protrusion of the front stabilizer bar bushing LH is visible.

      2. 

         *a	Protrusion

         Install the front suspension member front brace RH to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

         Torque:

         92 N*m  { 938 kgf*cm, 68 ft.*lbf }

         Note

         
         

         • Temporarily tighten the bolt (A), and then fully tighten the 4 bolts in the order of B, C, D and A.

         • After installing the front suspension member front brace RH, make sure that the protrusion of the front stabilizer bar bushing RH is visible.

   2. Type B:

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Protrusion

         Install the front suspension member brace to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

         Torque:

         92 N*m  { 938 kgf*cm, 68 ft.*lbf }

         Note

         
         

         • Temporarily tighten the bolt (A), and then fully tighten the 8 bolts in the order of B, C, D and A.

         • After installing the front suspension member brace, make sure that the protrusions of the front stabilizer bar bushings are visible.

5. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

6. CONNECT FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

7. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      74 N*m  { 755 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not damage the boot of the ball joint.

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud bolt.

8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

   Tech Tips

   Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

9. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS

   Torque:

   103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }

10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

11. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

12. INSTALL CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ Cover)

13. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

14. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
