  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Height Control Sensor)

  3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

  4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for LH Side)

  5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH (for RH Side)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE

    Click here

  7. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING

      *b Jack

      Support the rear axle assembly with a jack using a wooden block as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Keep supporting the rear axle assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear coil spring has been completed.

      Support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly using a jack and wooden block.

      Note


      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

    3. Loosen the bolt (A).

      Note


      • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

      • Do not remove the bolt.

    4. Remove the bolt (B) and nut, and separate the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

    5. Remove the bolt (C) and nut, and then slowly lower the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, and remove the rear coil spring.

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  9. REMOVE REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR


    1. Remove the rear upper coil spring insulator.

  10. REMOVE REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR


    1. Remove the rear lower coil spring insulator.
