POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM (w/o Memory) Mirror Heater does not Operate with Rear Defogger Switch

DESCRIPTION

When the mirror heater switch on the air conditioning panel (heater control switch board) is pressed, the operation signal is transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier assembly through a LIN communication line. When the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal, it turns on the engine room junction block assembly to operate the mirror heater.

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

    5. Perform an Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

    1. Remove the engine room junction block assembly from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the 1G connector from the engine room junction block assembly.

    2. Disconnect the J7 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

    3. Disconnect the K7 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
