FRONT WIPER MOTOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the windshield wiper motor assembly with 2 bolts.

      for 2AR-FE, 2GR-FE:

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      for 6AR-FSE:

      Torque:
      8.1 N*m  { 83 kgf*cm, 72 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor assembly at the automatic stop position.

    5. Turn the ignition switch off.

    6. Disconnect the connector.

      Apply MP grease to the pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Rod

      Connect the No. 1 rod to the pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly.

  2. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      *1 Motor Grommet

      Engage the motor grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when installing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

    2. Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Engage the motor grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when installing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

    2. Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector and then engage the 2 clamps.

  4. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 8 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 6 claws and guide to install the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH


    1. for TMC,TMMR Made:


      1. B000ILF

        Engage the 3 guides and 2 clips to install the front fender to cowl side seal LH as shown in the illustration.

    2. for TMMK Made:


      1. B000I24

        Engage the guide and 2 clips to install the front fender to cowl side seal LH as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Clean the wiper arm serrations.

      When reusing the windshield wiper link assembly:


      1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

      Set the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH in the range shown in the illustration and then install the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }
      Area Measurement
      A 7.5mm (0.295 in.)

      Tech Tips

      Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.

  8. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      1. Clean the wiper arm serrations.

      Torque:

      Area Measurement
      A 7.5mm (0.295 in.)

      Tech Tips

      Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.

    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    5. Operate the front wiper while spraying washer fluid onto the windshield glass. Make sure that the front wiper functions properly and the wiper does not come into contact with the vehicle body.

    6. Lift each wiper arm twice after the wipers stop and check the wiper set position.

    7. Turn the ignition switch off.
