FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  7. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  8. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

  9. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

      Lift up the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Be sure to hold the part of the rear seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion lock hooks when lifting it up. Lifting a different part of the rear seat cushion assembly may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. B000KQW

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly and remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt assembly from the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  16. REMOVE BAGGAGE HOLDER NET (w/ Partition Net)


    1. Remove the baggage holder net.

  17. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

      Remove the 5 clips.

      Disengage the 4 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

      Push the pin and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the fastener and remove the luggage compartment inner trim cover LH.

  20. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw.

      Disengage the guide and disconnect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and remove the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. B000N6P

      Disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. B000IYA

      Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the 2 scuff plate clips.

    4. Turn back the floor carpet so that the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly can be removed.

      Remove the 2 pieces of tape that connect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.
