POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory) Power Retractable Mirrors do not Operate with Power Retract Mirror Switch

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives the retractable outer mirror switch signal from the outer mirror switch assembly. The main body ECU then sends the mirror retract/return signal to each outer mirror control ECU assembly via CAN communication. Based on the signal, each outer mirror control ECU assembly retracts or returns the outer rear view mirror assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

The power mirror control system (w/ Memory) uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power mirror control system (w/ Memory) after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly Click here.
