POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (for Models with Jam Protection Function on Front Door Windows) Rear Power Window RH does not Operate with Rear Power Window Switch RH

DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is on (IG), the power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) is operated by the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door).

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Check that the window lock switch is off before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR RH DOOR) - BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the L7 rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L7-2 (B) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR RH DOOR)


    1. Remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door) Click here.

    2. Inspect the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door) Click here.

    REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR RH DOOR) Click here

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR RH DOOR) - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FOR REAR RH DOOR))


    1. Disconnect the L6 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L7-7 (U) - L6-1 (U) Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-7 (U) or L6-1 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L7-1 (D) - L6-2 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-1 (D) or L6-2 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly Click here.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K15-10 (RRU) - L7-3 (SU) Always Below 1 Ω
      K15-10 (RRU) or L7-3 (SU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K15-16 (RRD) - L7-4 (SD) Always Below 1 Ω
      K15-16 (RRD) or L7-4 (SD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
