COMPRESSOR (for 2GR-FE) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND MAGNET CLUTCH (A/C LOCK SENSOR)

      Component without harness connected

      (Compressor and Magnet Clutch (A/C Lock Sensor))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E73-1 (SSR+)- E73-2 (SSR-) 20°C (68°F) 160 to 320 Ω

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor and magnet clutch.

  2. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND MAGNET CLUTCH (COMPRESSOR SOLENOID)

      (Compressor and Magnet Clutch (Compressor Solenoid))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E74-1 (SOL-) - E74-2 (SOL+) 20°C (68°F) 10 to 11 Ω

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor and magnet clutch.

  3. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND MAGNET CLUTCH


    1. Disconnect the E73 compressor and magnet clutch connector.

      (Magnetic Clutch Assembly)

      Disconnect the a2 magnetic clutch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E73-3 (MG+) - a2-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      E73-3 (MG+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor and magnet clutch.
