REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for TMC, TMMR Made) INSTALLATION


  1. INSPECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Before installing the rear seat outer belt assembly, check the ELR function.

      Note

      Do not disassemble the retractor.


      1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the guide to temporarily install the rear seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    3. Check if the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the rear seat outer belt assembly installed.


      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  3. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)


    1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

      Engage the guide and 3 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

  4. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)


    1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

      Engage the 5 guides and 3 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER

      Engage the 4 guides and 2 claws to install the rear seat shoulder belt cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other 2 rear seat shoulder belt covers.

  6. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT SET (w/o Rear Sunshade)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Temporarily install the center stop light set.

      Slide the center stop light set in the order and directions shown by the arrows in the illustration while pushing it towards the rear of the vehicle to engage the 4 claws.

  7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH


    1. Engage the guide.

    2. Engage the 5 clips to install the roof side inner garnish LH.

  8. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. CONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Connect the floor anchor of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Install the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH with the arrow on the anchor part facing the front of the vehicle.

      • Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

  10. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  11. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

      Connect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

  12. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

  13. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Engage the guide, claw and 2 clips.

    2. Install the rear seat side garnish LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  14. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      *1 Alignment Mark (Red)

      Align the alignment mark (Red) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  16. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Align the alignment mark (Blue) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  17. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Engage the 6 claws to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  18. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Place the center seatback assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the hook.

    3. Install the center seatback assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  20. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  21. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 2 hooks to install the cover.

    4. Connect the 2 rear seat belts to the 2 rear seat shoulder belt guides.

    5. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect each connector and clamp to the child restraint anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.

  22. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seatback covers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  24. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 2 hooks to install the cover.

    4. Connect the rear seat belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

    5. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect each connector and clamp to the child restraint anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.

  25. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seatback covers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  27. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. B000HKU

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly.

    3. Connect the 2 seat heater connectors.

      Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly to the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks as shown in the illustration.

    5. Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

      Note

      When installing the rear seat cushion assembly, make sure that the seat belt buckles are not under the rear seat cushion assembly.

  29. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear side seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the hook to install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the rear seat outer belt assembly to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

  30. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear side seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the hook to install the rear side seatback assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the rear seat outer belt assembly to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

  31. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. B000HKU

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  32. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Engage the 2 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    3. B000LR0

      Engage the 2 hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

    4. Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is firmly installed.

      Note

      When installing the rear seat cushion assembly, make sure that the seat belt buckles are not under the rear seat cushion assembly.

  33. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Connect the connector.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Engage the fastener as shown in the illustration.

    5. Raise the rear seatback assembly LH.

    6. Connect the rear seat outer belt assembly to the rear seat center shoulder belt guide.
