FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made Power Seat) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. B000KQM

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. B000LTR

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

  4. DISCONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Disconnect the 2 rubber bands of the separate type front seatback cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion shield.

    3. B000N2H

      Disengage the wire harness clamp.

    4. Disconnect the front power seat switch connector.

    5. for Driver Side:


      1. B000HER

        Disengage 4 claws to remove the front lumbar power seat switch from the front seat cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH


    1. B000IFH

      Remove the 3 screws and front power seat switch from the front seat cushion shield.

  7. REMOVE FRONT LUMBAR POWER SEAT SWITCH (for Driver Side)


    1. B000ILA

      Disconnect the connector to remove the front lumbar power seat switch.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD


    1. B000HK0

      Remove the 2 screws and front seat inner cushion shield.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Seat)


    1. Disengage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    2. B000MZM

      Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat)


    1. B000KG1

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

  11. REMOVE LOWER SEAT TRACK RAIL


    1. Remove the lower seat track rail.

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Disconnect the connector (A).

    2. Disengage the clamp (B).

    3. Disengage the claw (D) and 3 clamps (C) to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disconnect the connector (E).

      2. Disengage the clamp (F).

    5. for Driver Side:


      1. B000NSA

        Separate the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    6. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. B000KKQ

        Separate the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    7. B000JQU

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    8. B000LG4

      Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. B000MPT

      Remove the 12 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Remove the 22 tag pins and the front seat cushion heater assembly from the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. B000L70

      Disengage the hook.

    2. B000HT4

      Disengage the 2 fasteners.

    3. B000JIM

      Turn back the separate type front seatback cover.

    4. B000HNP

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    5. B000L5U

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    6. B000NMJ

      Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. B000HQU

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the front seatback frame sub-assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  17. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners to remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Remove the 8 tag pins and the front seatback heater assembly from the separate type front seatback cover.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)


    1. B000LED

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. B000LWA

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the occupant detection ECU.

  25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the wire harness clamps to remove the front seat wire.

  26. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE


    1. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the wire harness clamps to remove the front No. 2 seat wire.

  27. REMOVE FRONT UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER LH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front upper seat track cover LH.

  28. REMOVE FRONT UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER RH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front upper seat track cover RH.

  29. REMOVE REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear upper seat track cover LH.

  30. REMOVE REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear upper seat track cover RH.

  31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seat cushion panel sub-assembly.

  32. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  33. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. B000GWX

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

    4. Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  34. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 4 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  35. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Remove the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.
