FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for TMC, TMMR Made Manual Seat) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw and vertical adjusting handle.

  4. DISCONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Disconnect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws, 6 guides and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. B000LPZ

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws, 7 guides and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the 5 claws and 6 guides to remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 5 claws and 7 guides to remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. Disengage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    2. B000H13

      Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. B000KTS

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

  11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. B000KDD

      Disengage the fastener and separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    2. B000L41

      Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. B000LLI

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      3. B000L26

        Disconnect the connector.

      4. Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the seat heater wire harness.

    4. B000HI5

      Disengage the hook.

    5. B000NHS

      Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    2. B000IY9

      Remove the 18 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Remove the 5 hog rings.

    2. B000MNB

      Remove the 3 hog rings.

    3. B000JML

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    4. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover.

    5. B000JZV

      Remove the nut and the 2 brackets.

    6. B000HM6

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    7. Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. B000MD2

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the 6 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the clip and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the clip and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)


    1. B000MU2

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)


    1. B000JCF

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front seat cushion edge protector RH.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front seat cushion edge protector RH.

  24. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. B000JR2

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 4 guides to remove the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  25. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. B000GY2

      Disengage the 2 springs to remove the seat track adjusting handle.

  26. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. B000JM8

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Disengage the claw and wire harness clamp to remove the front seat wire.
