REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the rear side seatback frame sub-assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. Install the rear seat airbag assembly to the rear side seatback frame sub-assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    2. Engage the clamp to connect the airbag wire harness.

    3. Engage the 8 hooks to install the rear side seatback cover with pad.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE


    1. B000NCI

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH with the 2 screws.

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the hook.

    2. Install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    3. Connect the connector.

    4. Connect the rear seat outer belt assembly to the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK


    1. B000HKU

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly to the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks as shown in the illustration.

    4. Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

      Note

      When installing the rear seat cushion assembly, make sure that the seat belt buckles are not under the rear seat cushion assembly.

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
