DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a +B short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

    When either of the following conditions is met:

  • Blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.


  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH)) Click here

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH))


    1. Disconnect the T17 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T17-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH) Click here

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH Click here

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the IND1 outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T17-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH) Click here

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the z18 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T17-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Click here

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the K12 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
