DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction occurs in the telephone antenna assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Registration for Telematics System Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the O47 telephone antenna assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I219 antenna divider connector.

    3. Disconnect the I220 telematics transceiver connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O47-2 (GPSD1) - I219-6 (GPS1) Always Below 1 Ω
      I220-1 (GPSD2) - I219-5 (GPSD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      O47-2 (GPSD1) or I219-6 (GPS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I220-1 (GPSD2) or I219-5 (GPSD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT ANTENNA DIVIDER


    1. Remove the Antenna divider Click here.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      5 (GPSD1) - 5a Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the O47 telephone antenna assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O48 telematics transceiver connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O47-2 (GPS1) - O48-1 (GPSD2) Always Below 1 Ω
      O47-2 (GPS1) or O48-1 (GPSD2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. REPLACE TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone antenna assembly with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  6. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
