NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for Radio and Display Type), Diagnostic DTC:B15DA

DTC Code DTC Name
B15DA Rear Console Recognition Disconnected

DESCRIPTION

The stereo component amplifier assembly and rear control switch are connected via AVC-LAN communication lines.

The radio and display receiver assembly is also connected to the stereo component amplifier assembly via AVC-LAN communication lines.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the stereo component amplifier assembly and rear control switch.

Tech Tips

If B15DA and B15D3 are output at the same time, troubleshoot for B15D3 first.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
B15DA

When either of the following conditions is met:

  • Rear control switch is not connected while the ignition switch is ACC or ON.

  • Communication between the master unit and the rear control switch is not possible when the engine is started.

  • Rear control switch power source circuit

  • AVC-LAN circuit between radio and display receiver assembly and rear control switch

  • Rear control switch

  • Stereo component amplifier assembly

  • Radio and display receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

Tech Tips

  • Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

  • The radio and display receiver assembly is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. If DTC B15D3 is output, perform troubleshooting for B15D3 first.

Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      Tech Tips

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.
