NAME PLATE (for TMC, TMMR Made) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

When installing the name plates or emblem, heat the vehicle body and name plates or emblem using a heat light.

Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Name Plate or Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

CAUTION:


  1. Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

  2. Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, name plates or emblem excessively.


  1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR EMBLEM


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and luggage compartment door emblem.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new luggage compartment door emblem.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Engage the 2 pins and install the luggage compartment door emblem as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Press the luggage compartment door emblem firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL NO. 7 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Install the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.

      Press the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. w/o No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate:


      1. Install the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Install the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate as shown in the illustration.
