REAR SPOILER INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    When installing a new rear spoiler, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Rear Spoiler Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body, rear spoiler sub-assembly excessively.


    1. Install the 2 stud bolts to the rear spoiler cover.

    2. Install 2 new gaskets to the rear spoiler cover.

    3. Install 4 new clips to the rear spoiler cover.

    4. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    5. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new rear spoiler sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the release paper from the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

    7. B000KAT

      Engage the 4 clips.

    8. Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER


    1. B000HTS

      Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 13 clips.
